Engineering Program Manager

CEO / CTO.

| Overview: |
Will function as the Program Manager for one or more major mass storage systems for the nations largest Military / Aerospace contractors. An Engineering Program Manager is both a principal Interface / Communicator with our customer as well as a Project Leader within the company.
A critical responsibility of an Engineering Program Manager is to offload projects from the CEO after a sub-contract is executed so he can concentrate on developing new business.

| Responsibilities: |
- External: Customer interface and communications.
- Internal: Project leadership in both contract fulfillment and technical execution.
- Vendor oversight.
- Ultimately responsible for a Projects success (failure is not an option).

| Supervises: |
- Project Engineers (though not in a "supervisory" role).
- Assembly & Test Technicians (though not in a "supervisory" role).
- Vendor performance to Purchase Orders.

| Education, required1: |
BSEE or BSME. |
| Education, preferred: |
MBA, MSEE, MSME. |
| Experience, Skills: |
- Superb communication skills, written and verbal.
- Highly organized.
- Demonstrated negotiation abilities.
- Experience with the process of Sub-Contract and Statement of Work fulfillment for Military Aerospace or other OEM customers.
- Demonstrated technical proficiency with and understanding of complex mass storage and network technologies.
- Expert in the use of PERT, Critical Path and other project management techniques.
- Expert at tracking project expenses to budget in a highly disciplined way.
- The ability to overcome daily obstacles and project "friction" to get things done.

| The Ideal Candidate: |
Will be an accomplished mass storage or communications engineer who has or wants to move from a technical engineering role into the technical marketing / sales role working intensely with customers on new state of the art ruggedized mass storage and networked storage programs.
An undergraduate engineering degree combined with an MBA degree is the perfect education for this position.
Ultimately an Engineering Program Manager has complete ownership of and total responsibility for a program's technical, financial and delivery to schedule success.

Notes:
1) BSEE or BSME and an MBA are required for this position. Candidates without a Bachelors Degree in Engineering will not be considered.
